CPS Calculators
Determine the likelihood of military combat
Rules & Principles
- The CPS uses an automated Probability Calculator to calculate whether some type of military action will occur within a given time segment in Boundary Land. The system is built so it cannot be tampered with, thus ensuring that there will be fair odds.
- The Calculator has three possible outcomes: Defensive Campaign, Offensive Campaign, or No Action. The rules for each are explained below in more detail.
- The CPS Probability Calculator may not be used before or during the first time segment, in order to allow Boundary Land’s players to get their quadrants into working operation without worrying about military action. Afterwards, the calculator is used once during each interval.
- Once a campaign (offensive or defensive) is fought and takes place during a time segment, that campaign ceases to become an outcome in the Probability Calculator.
- At the end of the time segment, an offensive or defensive campaign is technically over, even if there is more to do, and none of the players are obliged to continue fighting the campaign.
